PICTURE THEATRE PRICES
TO THE EDITOK. SiR,-rT wish to protest against the unfair action of the local picture theatres, particularly on Saturday nights. It' is advertised that stall seats are available at Is and Is 6d, and reserved seats at 2s 3d. Myself and a friend went to the Regent pictures last Saturday night at the early hour of 7.25, and on asking at the ticket box for two stalls seats, I was informed that there were no seats at Is 6d, but plenty at 2s 3d. Apparently the management claims the right to reserve what it likes at any hour it fancies. This is not the first time I have had this experience at various theatres, and I would suggest that it would be much fairer to the public if the various managements would advertise finitely their Saturday night prices.—! am, etc., Not Bitten, Dunedin, June 8. [We are informed by the management of the theatre that Is and Is 6d seats were on sale as usual on Saturday Horn 6.30 p.m., but were all sold by 7.15.—Ed. O.D.T.j
