Jugoslavia thus eliminated France by three matches to two. A BIG SURPRISE LONDON, June 9. (Received June 10 at, 1 a.m.) Jugoslavia’s defeat of France was the biggest surprise in the European zone, making the semi-finalists Jugoslavia against Austria, and Germany against Ireland. Jugoslavia, has not. previously advanced beyond the second round. Boussus held match point in the fourth set, but Puncep’s resistance and stamina were so strong that Boussus was a spent force in the fifth.
