A CRINKLE WRINKLE
Among the new season’s fabrics I have seen one which reminds me 6f crepon worn many years ago. It is known as “ cloque ” ami its deeply crinkled surface adds richness to the colour of the material which, in the case of the piece I saw, was salmon pink. ' I was shown a pattern that had been washed in Lux without losing any of its colour or crinkle. The secret, 1 was told, was .lukewarm suds and ironing it very lightly when quite dry. This is a wrinklt* worth remembering, for fabrics with this particular surface have a disconcerting way of returning from the cleaners or the laundry a few sizes larger—or smaller —than they went—An exchange.
