LOSS TO RUGBY
RETIREMENT OF C. J. OLIVER INJURY RECEIVED ON TOUR RECURS (Per United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, May 29. C. J. Oliver, vice-captain of the All Blacks, has been forced definitely to retire from Rugby owing to an injury to the groin received on the tour, which has recurred at intervals. He has been training in the hope of resuming, but now must act on medical advice and cense. So ends a remarkable football career, which "started when he won the .Canterbury cap as a youth of 19 in 1924.
