SPIRITUALIST MISSION

PROPAGANDA MEETING. There was a good assembly at the Little Theatre last evening, where the Greater World Mission hold its weekly divine service in the form of a propaganda meeting. The special speaker ivas Mr Harry Johnson, overseas missioned, of the Greater World Christian Spiritualist League, who chose as the subject of his address " Christian Spiritualism's Basis of Belief." A close analysis of the league's declaration of belief and pledge was covered in the address. ■ "The manifestation of God is through the illimitable power of the Holy Spirit," the speaker declared, " and this power can only be suppressed by man's selfishness in nature or desire." Speaking of the postulation of belief in survival and the individuality of each soul after physical death, he claimed that all who Relieved in the teaching and activities of Jesus Christ when on earth .must believe that the after-life was an actual thing, because of the many examples manifested in the Master's ministry on earth. A full analysis was given of sin, winch was stated to be faultiness of the spiritual nature, and the rectification was rencntance. " Change your mind against selfish activity and you will change yourself," said the lecturer. Christian Spiritualism was declared to be the joy of a greater expression of life and the hope and proof of the fullness and perfection of that expression hereafter. The address was followed by a demonstration, during which encouragement was passed on by Mr Johnson to several individuals of the congregation. Mrs W. Brooks and Mr P. Savigny also spoke of the work that the Greater World League was effecting in the Dominion and other parts of the world.
