MOTOR COLLISION WOMAN SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES. (Pee United Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 29. The death occurred to-day of Mrs Isabel Burrows, aged 47, of Hukatere, near Matakohe, who suffered severe head injuries when she was thrown from a motor car after a collision at Papatoetoc on Monday.

GIRL THROWN FROM PONY

(Per United Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, April 29.

When the pony she was riding home from school shied at a neighbour’s dog and threw her, Beris Jonas, the six-ycar-old daughter of Mr and Mrs W. A. Jonas, of Nikorima road, Waitara, received severe lacerations to her face, which necessitated her admission to the New Plymouth Hospital yesterday afternoon. The child was thrown head first into a barbed-wire fence. Her brother Keith, aged 10 years, was also thrown from his horse, but escaped with bruises. The girl was taken to the New Plymouth Hospital, where an operation was performed, and her condition is reported to be satisfactory. MOTOR CYCLE CRASH TWO MEN INJURED. (Per United Press Association) GREYMOUTH, April 29. As the result of the steering gear of an Aerial motor cycle jamming on the south beach railway crossing this evening and crashing into a cattle etop, Thomas Coyle, aged 22, a single man, and William H. Stickle, aged 30, married, both of Hokitika, were admitted to the Grey Hospital. Both were thrown into the air, Coyle hitting a post and Stickle being thrown into sonic gorse. Coyle suffered severe head injuries, concussion, abrasions and shock, and bis condition is critical, but is improving. Stickle received, slight concussion, abrasions and shock, but his condition is satisfactory. The motor cycle was considerably damaged. FALL FROM ROOF Walter Eraser, a painter, aged 34 years, employed by Messrs, Smith and Smith, Ltd., received head injuries yesterday through falling from the roof of M'Leod’s new buildings in Cumberland street. Ho was admitted to the Hospital at 8.50 a.m. The injured man resides at 34 Wesley street.
