THE AMERICAN NAVY

SECRET MANOEUVRES SIX WEEKS IN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO, April 26. (Received April 27, at 8 p.m.) Led by the capital ships, the bulk of the American Navy will steam away tomorrow for secret manoeuvres extending over six weeks in the Pacific. Some 150 ships and 450 aeroplanes will be involved, and they will be divided into two forces. The fleet will engage in tactical operations, working its way down the coast to Panama Bay.
