OMARAMA RESERVES

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —As the Land Board lias decided to cancel the lease of the reserves it is to be hoped that it will put them up for ballot to give those requiring land a chance to secure it. As the present holders have ample ground without the reserves this would not impose any hardship on them. May I suggest to the board to group the Swamp, Chain Hills and the Flat? Anyone could make a good living on them. The other blocks of 4000 acres I consider to be of sufficient area provided the rent is reasonable, I hope to bring this under the notice of the Minister of Lands. —I am. etc., Waitaki.
