DOMINION AND AUSTRALIA

CO-OPERATION IN FUTURE CANBERRA, March 19. (Received March 20, at 0.5 a.m.) Arrangements have been made for cooperation between Australia and New Zealand in scientific research, the Prime Minister (Mr J. A. Lyons) announced to-day. He claimed that this would eliminate overlapping and mark an important step forward in linking up research on an Empire basis. Mr Lyons said that the Commonwealth would attach an officer in New Zealand for dairy research, while ihe New Zealand Government would arrange for scientific workers to come to Australia fqr an investigation into mastitis, sterility in sheep, food preservation, and transport problems.
