INDUSTRIAL UNITY
A GREATER MEASURE SOUGHT CONFERENCE OF FREEZING WORKERS (Pee United Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 17. Representatives from the freezing workers’ unions throughout the Dominion held a conference in the Wellington Trades Hall to-day to consider proposals designed to bring about a greater measure of unity in the organisation of their affairs. The conference, which was presided over by Mr F. J. Cleary, of Hastings, was opened by the Minister of Labour. Mr H. T. Armstrong, who appealed for industrial unity. After a full discussion a committee was appointed to bring down a report as to how unity could best be obtained. The committee’s report was submitted later to the conference and adopted unanimously. It was stated by the spokesman for the conference that the basis adopted would give the men employed in works an opportunity to determine the form of organisation the}' would adopt ir future.
