SEVERAL FORCIBLY SEIZED COMMUNISTS AND PEASANTS MADRID, March 16. (Received March 17, at 10.30 p.m.) Communists and peasants at Briego forcibly seized the estate of President Zamora, helped themselves to olives, and began to parcel out land. They similarly visited the Alcaudentc estate of the President’s aunt and other land owners held in custody by local Red leaders, until guards and police restored order. Senor Zamora protested to the Cabinet against the present state of affairs. In the village of Mancers a woman and a child wore killed. Senor Martinez Barrios shouted “Vive la republics,” and the cry was taken up by Deputies. The Government has prolonged the state of alarm for 30 days.
