SHOOTING AFFRAY

SEARCH FOR WANTED MAN POLICE NET EXTENDED (Per United Press Association) MASTERTON, March 13. At a late hour to-night no trace has been found of Stanley Charles Maisey, for whom an extensive police search has been carried out since Thursday morning. Maisey is wanted by the police in connection with the shooting affray at Dalefield as the result of which Maisey's father-in-law, Anthony Conwell, is in hospital with a bullet wound in the jaw. A fairly large party of police is still in the district and the police net has been spread throughout the Wellington district. It is now considered certain that the wanted man travelled to Wellington by service car on Thursday morning, but after he left the car in Featherston street he has completely disappeared. The condition of Mr Conwell remains satisfactory.
