The fortnightly meeting of Pride of Mornington Lodge, No. 14, was presided over by Bro. Jelly. Sick pay and accounts were passed, for payment, correspondence included a letter from the Grand Secretary with tickets for the Grand Lodge smoke concert, and it was decided that the lodge purchase two tickets, Bros, Le Brun and Gray being appointed to attend. P.A. Bros. Workman and Johnson, of Enterprise Lodge, attended the meeting for the purpose ot making arrangements for the installation of PI Bro. teathley as D.P.. the ceremony boiiw «xed for April 1. The matter was left in the hands of the secretary and treasurer. D.P. Bro. Jelly was toasted, Bro. Birt referring to his splendid record as D.P. and expressing the satisfaction of the lodge at his work in .-eneral. D.P. Bro. Jelly suitably replied. The visitors' toast was replied to by Bros. Workman and Johnson. Hie preliminary of the Bowls Championship resulted as follows:—Le Brun defeated Jelly, Annan defeated Robertson, Gray defeated Coombe, Thompson defeated Johnson, Jiirt defeated Workman, Smith and Lanig a lye. The semi-finals will be completed next lodge night. Arch Druid Bro. L. A. Symonds piesided over the regular meeting of Lnteririse Lodge, when a large number ol members and visitors greeted the Arch Druid. The bards' report disclosed that a large amount of sickness was still prevalent amongst the members and sick pay amounting to £l7 was passed for payment. Amongst the correspondence was an invitation from Good Intent Lodge to attend its anniversary night, whicli v/ns accepted and as many as possible asked to attend. D.P. Bro. A. E. Jelly paid an official visit and was given a warm welcome by the Arch Druid. J.F.A. Bro. Shanks reported on a visit to the Progress Juvenile Lodge. Arrangements were put in train for the installation of D.P. Bro. W. G. Leathley, and a committee was appointed to Visit Pride of Mornington Lodge to make nnal arrangements with that lodge regarding the presentation to the retiring D.P.. Bro. A. E. Jelly. After the business ot the evening was disposed of several of the older members gave the brethren present an outline of the workings ot the lodge in the early days, these talks proving to be very interesting and in some places rather amusing. Ota"o Lodge met last Monday evening, when Arch Druid Bro. Harbour presided over a large attendance. Ihc occasion being the entertaining of the delegates to the Grand Lodge meeting. Several invitations to sister lodges were received. „ne candidate was initiated into the Order, and the Grand Lodge and representatives were received ill true Urmclic style The musical portion of the evening w'as supplied by Bro. J. Leech's musical party and their entertainment was much appreciated and enjoyed by the large audience present. Opportunity was also taken to wish one of the lodge surgeons farewell, Dr North having been granted an extended leave of absence, and the cood wishes of the members were conveyed to him and Mrs North. Presentations of suitable gifts were made. Amongst, the visitors present were G P. Bro. Hunt and members of Grand Lodge. G.P. Bro. Gregory (Wellington). V.G.P. Bro. M'Kenzie (Christchurch), several P.G. presidents, and representatives ot all lodges in Otago and Southland. Three senior past officers of the Order, Past Grand Presidents Bros. Hopkins and Bryant, accompanied by P.G.G. Bro. B. Reid. visited the Grand Lodge Conference at the invitation of G.P. Bro. Hunt, and received a welcome. They were,much interested in the discussions which took place over the many remits put forward. During the luncheon period they were photographed with the executive. In the evening they were the guests of the Grand Lodge "and enjoyed a pleasant evening, meeting many old friends.
