ARGENTINA STOCK SHOW
DOMINION BREEDER HONOURED APPOINTED JUDGE OF SHEEP (Per United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, March 9. Mr Isaac Andrew, formerly a leading Canterbury sheep breeder, and now one of the best-known judges in the Dominion, has received and accepted an invitation to act as judge at the-Argen-tina Rural Society’s big international live stock show, to be held at Buenos Aires on August 22 of this year, Mr Andrew, who is farming at Eccleston, Marton, is the son of Mr W. B. Andrew, who was one of the most successful sheep breeders in Canterbury. Mr Isaac Andrew is one of the leading Dominion sheep judges, and 'has had wide experience of various breeds, particularly with English Leiccsters, Southdowns, Ryclands and Corriedalcs. He farmed for many years at Ellesmere, and was one of the most prominent exhibitors in the province. Mr Andrew received the request to act as judge from the Sociedacl Rural, Argentina, the president in his invitation stating: “In the sheep section the following breeds keep up an outstanding position owing to their development in our country —Romney Marsh, Corriedah and Southdown. This society, knowing your recognised qualifications to judge the breeds referred to, and knowing your great experience in their breeding, would be greatly honoured if you will accept an invitation to judge at our show. You would be our guest during your stay in our country, and you would have to he here previous to August !•>. If you should be willing to make the trip we would be pleased to know the way nr ship’s course you would like best, and then wo would lie able to place at your disposal accommodation and a return ticket.”
