Fine weather, with bright, sunshine and ' a light easterly breeze, prevailed yesterday. The maximum temperature Was CO degrees. The barometer, after rising to' 1 30.09 at 8 a.m., fell several points during the day. REPORTS FROM THE NORTH. x (Special to Daily Times) _ AUCKLAND, March 4. Fine, sunny weather and a light easterly wind were experienced to-day. The barometer rose during the morning to 29.95 inches, and after mid-day it was steady. WELLINGTON. March 4. ; % There were a few passing showers in the early part of the morning, but .tho weather quickly cleared, and during most of the day it was fine and sunny, with a keen southerly breeze. The maximum temperature was 57.9 degrees. CHRISTCHURCH. March 4. The weather to-day was fine though cold, with light, variable winds. • The morning was overcast, but the skv cleared later and the afternoon was sunny. At 9.30 a.m. the temperature was 49.9 degrees, and the maximum for the day was 50.4. The barometer registered 30.103 at 3 p.m. and is falling slowly
