CAUGHT IN LANDSLIDE

HINDU CAMP SWEPT AWAY ONE MAN KILLED (Per United Press Association) WANGANUI, February 26. A Hindu named Kehar Singh, aged 46, was killed at Mangamahu, 20 miles from Wanganui, at noon to-day when the camp he and two other Hindus occupied were caught by a landslide and swept into a stream. The other Hindus, Gar Charm Singh, a son of the deceased, and Patan Singh, escaped unhurt., The body was later 'recovered. The Hindus had their camp situated on R. Campion's property. When the landslide occurred two of them jumped c!car as they were swept into the stream, but Kehar Singh was caught by the major portion of the fall and was submerged in the stream. Death is believe*' to have been instantaneous.
