THE DAMAGED LINER

DOCKED AT SOUTHAMPTON (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, February 17. The liner Winchester Castle docked at Southampton only eight hours and a-half late. During the period when the passengers had to stand by the lifeboat stations until danger was past calm prevailed, and the time was passed in community singing. The passengers paid tributes on landing to the coolness and helpfulness of the ship's crew.
