MYSTERY SOLVED

AN EXPERIMENTAL FLIGHT MADRID, February 14. The mystery air liner S.O.S. has been cleared up. A Lufthansa machine engaged in an experimental transatlantic Right sent out the call during a violent storm, but reached the Azores unaided.

It was reported on February 13 that the aircraft carrier Furious was travelling at full speed from the Canary Islands to rescue an unidentified air liner with 30 passengers which was reported to have dived into the sea off Punta del Gada. The Furious was at Teneriffe when she picked up the S.O.S. messages from the doomed plane just before she crashed.
