MISHAP TO RANGATIRA

PERMANENT REPAIRS TENDERS TO BE CALLED (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 15. It is understood that the Union Steam Ship Company intends to call immediately for tenders for permanent repairs to the express steamer Rangatira. It is also learned that it is anticipated that steel will be available in New Zealand and Australia to meet the requirements. Should this not prove the case a competent authority considers that supplies could come out from Home ready by working from the blue prints used in the vessel’s construction.
