OTAGO CLUB The second round of the Four-ball Knock-out Competition was played on Balmacewen links on Saturday afternoon. The matches resulted as follows: C. W. Glover and J. N. Lemon defeated R. R. Aspinall and R. R. Aspinall, jun., 2 and 1. K. A. Ross and G. E. Moloney won by default from F. I. Dawson and F. F. Leckie. T. B. Ferguson and D. A. Ferguson defeated W. D. Taylor and A. G. Sime, 3 and 1. ST. CLAIR CLUB A good field started in the Four-ball Bogey Handicap which was played on Saturday by the St. Clair Club under ideal conditions. The excellent scoring and combination of the only two limit handicap pair in the competition resulted in a decisive win for E. Bolwell and C. H. Duncan with a score of 11 up. Elder 3up BELLEKNOWES CLUB The opening match of the 1936 season, a Stroke Handicap, was played by the Belleknowes Men’s Chib on Saturday afternoon, when ideal conditions gave players a chance to score well. D. Macpherson, with 77 —22—55, was the winner, and E. King, with 50—21—59, was next. A. Lucas returned the best gross score of 70. The following were the best cards handed in:—
