The Weather The weather conditions remain still very dry and prospects of rain appear as far away as ever. The borough water supply has improved somewhat. The saving in water by turning off the supply at night has resulted in the small reservoir now being full.

Bowling The Alexandra Bowling Club played this week’s fixture on Wednesday evening against Clyde, with the following results (Clyde names first): — A. Harris, W. Lopdell, J. Holt, P. Miller 18, W. B. Miss G. A. Brown and Mrs W. Duncan arc at present spending a holiday in Wanganui. Mrs W. Walker and Mrs W. Wilson, of Limehills, are at present spending a holiday in Alexandra as the guests of Mrs W. H. Leitch.

Mr and Mrs J. H. Timrnings, jun., returned to Alexandra on Wednesday.
