WAIMATE Sheep Dog Trial Club The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Waimate Sheep Dog Trial Club: —President, Mr I. J. Ross'; vice-president, Mr J. Christie; treasurer, Mr F. Trott; auditor, Mr J. K. Clarke; secretary, Mr A. A. M'Kenzie. Moving the adoption of the balance sheet, the president (Mr I. J. Ross) said that the credit balance of £56 10s was the best the club had experienced for many years. It was decided that this year's trials should be held on April 7,8, and 9. The other three clubs have byes. , Cricket The following team will represent Milton in a South Otago A Grade match to be played at Milton to-morrow aftfemoon: H. Heads, W. Heads, A. Heads, T. Wells, T. Sloane, H. Collings, F. Marryatt, W. Hawke, J. Hood, R. Olver, E. Olver, and J. Vinnecombe. Personal Messrs W. M'Caw Allison (Clarksville) and Alexander Campbell (Milton) have been appointed to officiate as judges of draught and light horses respectively at the Palmerston A. and P. Society s show, which is being held to-day (Friday). Mr A. B. Littlejohn, chief clerk at Milton Post Office, left yesterday for Clyde to act as relieving postmaster. Mr L. Woods, telephone exchange clerk at Milton Post Office, is under orders to transfer to a similar position at Winton Office. Lawn Tennis The following team will represent Milton Club in the postponed game against Milburn, to be played on the local courts to-morrow afternoon:—Kennard, Bedford, Wilson, B. Gray, Misses M. Wilson, E. Scofield, J. Morris,- Mrs J. Murray.
