LOS ANGELES TOURNAMENT PICARD LEADS FIELD LOS ANGELES, January 10. (Received Jan. 12, at 7.30 p.m.) Ted Naismith played a brilliant round of golf in the opening day at the Los Angeles 5000-dollar open tournament, to score GB, two under par, and tie for sixth place. Picard's sensational 00 led the field. Richardson scored 72, Cohen and George Naismith 75, .Bolgcr 70, and Kelly 81. A REVERSAL OF FORM LOS ANGELES, January 11. (Received Jan. 12, at 10 p.m.) With the greens sticky from rains Ted Naismith suffered a reversal of form today and took 81 to go round. He faile.l to qualify with a total for the" two rounds of 149. Richardson was the onlv player to qualify among the Australians To-day he returned a score of 75, giving him a total of 147. Other aggr«gatf« scores of Australians were: Cohen an J George Naismith 152, Bolger 160. Kelly withdrew. Hines and Pieard shared the lead with 137.
