DESTRUCTIVE AVALANCHES
A HEAVY DEATH ROLL
NEW YORK, January 10. (Received Jan. 12, at 8.30 p.m.) •Reports from Bogota, Colombia, declare that between 200 and 300 were killed by avalanches following an earthquake which completely buried several villages in the vicinity of Tuquerres. It is feared that many more deaths resulted at points from which reports have not yet been received.
