DAIRY PRODUCE EXPORT
NEW GOVERNMENT'S POLICY TO BE PLACED BEFORE BOARD (Special to Daily Times) WELLINGTON, January 12. The desire of the Government to see the overseas selling of the Dominions primary produce placed on the best possible basis was mentioned by the Prime Minister, Mr Savage, in an interview on Saturday . Mr Savage said that the Dairy Board was out to do its best for the industry. The Government, however, had a definite policy too, and it was only fair that it should place that policy before the board so that there would be no conflict afterwards. If the deputy chairman, Mr C. 1. Agar (whose visit the Homo Government had asked the board to postpone) knew the Government's views before lie went Home he would be in a better position to put the case and there would then be no room for misunderstanding. Directors of the Co-operative Wholesale Society, England, who are now on one of their periodic visits to New Zenland, met Ministers on Saturday mornirifis, the discussion lasting over two hours. Mr Savage said that questions of general trade were discussed.
