Pursuant to Section 10 of " The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926," It is Hereby Publicly Notified that the Maniototo County Council desires to obtain the Consent of the Ratepayers of the Whole of the County of Maniototo (a) To raise a Special Loan for the Erection of County Chambers at Ranfurly and all necessary work incidental thereto. (b) The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purpose is the sum of £2OOO, and the term of such loan 20 years. (c) It is proposed to pay interest at the rate of £3£ per centum per annum on the said loan and to repay the loan by twenty annual repayments of £IOO. (d) As security for the proposed loan and for providing interest and repayment thereof the County Council proposes to make and levy a special annually recurring Rate of One-fortieth of a Penny in the £ on the Capital ■ Value of all rateable property in the County. PURSUANT to Section 10 of "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926," it is Hereby Notified that the TAIERI COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to raise a Loan to meet the Council's share of the cost of carrying out Road Reconstruction and Sealing Works and Bridges Construction. . The particular purpose for which the Loan is required is the reconstructing, metalling, and sealing the section of the Green Island to Taieri Mouth Main Highway, from the Green Island Borough Boundary to near the School at Brighton, including the erection of a new bridge over the Kaikorai Stream, and several new culverts thereon; also the reconstrucing, metalling, and sealing the section of the Mosgiel-Middlemarch-Dunback Main Highway, from Mosgiel Borouch boundary at Silverstream to the West Taieri Church, including culverts thereon and also including an Extension of 300 feet to the West Taieri Bridge at Outram. The sum proposed to be borrowed for each purpose is: Green Island to Brighton Highwav, £4250; and Mosgiel to West Taieri Church Highway, £5600. The proposed security is to be a Special Annually-recurring Rate of Seven Sixtyfourths of a Penny in the Pound on the rateable value, on the basis- of the Capital Value, of all rateable property in the County of Taieri, and it is proposed to raise the Lo'in at a rate of interest not exceeding Three Pounds Ten Shillings per centum per annum for a term of Fifteen Years, and the provision for repayment is a half-yearly instalment, including interest and principal, on a tablebasis of Four Hundred and Twenty-four Founds Sixteen Shillings and Seven Pence (£424 16 s 7d).
