MAID OF ALL WORK
INSTALLATION ON LINER f LONDON, December 13. (Received Dec..ls, at 5.5 p.m.) A most striking gadget is being installed for the liner Queen Mary. It is a mechanical maid of all work. It washes, rinses, polishes, sterilises crockery and cutlery, and is guaranteed never to smash a dish, though dealing with thousands an hour. Plates, cups, saucers, glasses, knives, and forks enter an endless belt at one end and emerge scrupulously clean at the other.
