PRISONERS DISAGREE
SCUFaE IN GAOL ONE MAN SERIOUSLY x INJURED (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, December' 10. A prisoner at Mount Eden gaol, Robert Dixon, aged 49, married, suffered severe injuries to his head, including a possible fracture of the skull, when he fell heavily on a concrete floor. The injured man, a labourer, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital, and his condition is serious. It is stated that Dixon and another prisoner were engaged in cleaning work inside the prison when a difference arose between them and a scuffle ensued. Dixon struck his head heavily in falling. It was apparent that he had been severely injured, and he was removed to the sick bay for attention.
