SIXTEEN MEN KILLED DISASTER IN ALBERTA (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) COALHURST (Alberta), December 9. (Received Dec. 10, at 9.30 p.m.) Sixteen miners died as the result of an explosion which blasted the 600-foot level in the mine of Lcthbridgc Collieries, Ltd. The cause of the explosion is unknown. The bodies have been recovered. The explosion occurred as the night shift was going on duty.
