GOOD TEMPLARS
■♦ The meeting of All Nations Lodge, No. 13, 1.0.G.T., Port Chalmers, was held on Thursday last, C.T. Bro. W. D. Campbell presiding over a fair attendance of members. The Chief Templar reported that a number of members had paid a visit to Star of Freedom Lodge on a previous Monday evening. It was resolved that All Nations Lodge pay a visit to Rescue Lodge on December 17. The meeting of Beacon Juvenile Temple No. 27, 1.0.G.T., Port Chalmers, was also held on Thursday, the temple celebrating its sixth birthday in conjunction with the final meeting of the year. Superintendent E. Facer, after opening the meeting, at which was present a • large number of juveniles, pavents and adult members, requested Bro. Campbell, Chief Templar of All Nations Lodge, to preside. The juveniles gave a programme of various items which were interspersed with games and competitions. During the evening Sister Jean Gardiner was awarded first prize for being the only officer present at every meeting, with the exception of one, during the year, A reading test amongst the other officers resulted as follows: Bro. David M'Cormack 1, Sister Ivy Pope 2, Sister Ellen Dougherty 3. Bro. W. lies (Grand Counsellor) and Mrs Armstrong were the judges. Sister Mrs Ilea, of Rescue Lodge, presented the juveniles with a birthday cake decorated with six kewpies. The cake was cut by Si<*< • Mrs Telfer (assistant superintendents a:' 1 Mrs lies. A hearty vote of thanks w»s accorded Mrs lies for her gift. Before dispersing the juveniles were entertained to supper by the adult members.
