MR COX'S ELECTIONEERING

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I see that Mr Cox had his " left bower " at Milburn to help him to answer the questions put to him by the electors. The answer Dr M'Millan gave to a question that was addressed to Mr Cox was a verv Door example of the retort courteous. He must be one of Mr Cox's " magpies." I hooe Dr M'Millan gave the electors his wonderful demonstration with two pots which he gives at some of his meetings. Perhaps he had an electric kettle and toaster for a change. Dr M'Millan will not answer letters through the press. He cannot answer the question about the electric showroom appointment- as he is unable to deny what has been said about it. Mr Cox should have had his " right bower" with him when touring in South Otneo. and been assisted by him with an address on Communism. Surely it was not creditable to the Presbyterian Church to ask a man to preach on the Sabbath after he has been carrying on an election campaign the other six days of the week and running down his fellow man. Not content with the £SOO a year which he receives from the city as Mayor, he wants more, and while he is electioneering in the country he is not even carrying out his r'uties to the citv.—-1 am. etc.. One Man One Job.
