PLANE HEADED FOR BAGDAD ATHENS, November 6. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith arrived at 4.30 p.m., and took off again for Bagdad within an hour and 40 minutes. He said everything was going well. The weather was good, but bumpy. KARACHI PASSED
KARACHI, November 7. (Received Nov. 8, at 1 a.m.) Sir Charles Kingaford Smith passed over Karachi at 1.5 p.m., en route to Allahabad. ATTACK ON CAPE RECORD (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, November 5. (Received Nov. 7, at 5.5 p.m.) Flying-officer Llewellyn and Mrs Jill Wyndham, who are attempting to lower the record for a flight from the Cape to England, arrived at Broken Hill early to-day, and left soon after for Aberco. WARSAW TO MELBOURNE RANGOON, November 7. (Received Nov. 8, at 0.15 a.m.) The aviators, Major Karpinski and his Polish companion, M. Rogalsld, who are flying from Warsaw to Melbourne, arrived yesterday and left for Bankok this morning. MELROSE’S PROGRESS CALCUTTA, November 7. (Received Nov. 8, at 0.30 a.m.) Melrose arrived at 6.36 a.m., and left for Rangoon at 8.15 a.m.
