OTAGO SCHOOL OF DANCING

In His Majesty's Theatre on Saturday next, afternoon and evening, the Otago School of Dancing will present a programme of ballets, ensembles, rhythmic specialties, bright tapping trios, martial scenas, dainty duos, colourful dressing, brilliant lighting effects, and charming music. The winning ballet at the ( recent competitions will lie staged, supported by "Speed," a ballet in streamline; the fairy talej " Babes ill the Wood " ballet, " Martial Movementia," a novel western ballet, and, as a special offering for the children, the ballet of the " Koala and the Gum Nut." Operatic, ballet, tap, acrobatic, and character dancing will be featured in solo, duo, and trio. The selected music will be classical and popular to lend effective support to the offerings. Joyce Smith and Lorraine Hill will make their final appearances before leaving for the north. There will be a special children's matinee on Saturday.
