FINAL COMMUNITY SING

The final community sing will be held in the Town Hall on Tuesday, and the box plans will be opened at Bcgg's tomorrow morning for those who wish to make sure of a seat. Last year the Town Hall was completely filled and hundreds were turned away. The leaders will be Messrs H. P. Desmoulins and J. F. Himburg, and Mr Alf Pettitt will be at the piano. A first class programme i: being arranged, and the following are assisting:—Huimai Maori Party of over 20 members, under Mr A. P. Macgregor; Miss Lily Stevens's Scotch ballet, Miss Shirley M'Clatchy (piano accordion). Miss Betty Garland (violin), Mrs C. Searle (vocalist), Mr J. Pringle (vocalist), and Begg's Orchestra. The committee appreciates the actions of the listeners-in who have sent donations during the year, and advises that any further gifts may be sent to Begg's. The proceeds are for the Mayor's Relief Fund.
