"MOUSE-TRAPS AND RULERS"
TO THE EDITOB. Sir, —I am one of those who have followed with interest the activities of the Vocational Guidance Committees throughout the Dominion, and I consider that the sarcastic remarks passed by Mr F. Jones, the Labour candidate for Dunedin South, concerning these committees entirely _un-. called for. Mr Jones took for the subject of his cheap humour the fact that the boys and girls who had been set to tvork in a woodwork school in Christchurch had been able to manufacture mouse-traps and rulers. I understand that the Vocational Guidance Committees have done wonderful work in placing over 4000 boys and girls each year in the four main centres of the Dominion. Now, Mr Jones, -who is a member of the local committee of this useful body, might explain to the electors at his next meeting exactly what he has done to help that committee and how many meetings he has attended. —I am, etc., True Bill.
