AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY
With a view to demonstrating the safety, efficiency and comfort of travel by air, a display of photographs, lent by Imperial Airways, Ltd., and The Times, London, is at present attracting large attendances to the Somerset Lounge at the Savoy. There are about 200 photographs covering the most interesting features of the air route from England to Australia, a'pd these give a graphic idea of the topography, people, and characteristics of the countries over which the Imperial Airways machines pass on the long route. One of the chief features of the photography is the use of the infra-red ray process, by which landscapes are taken with a horizon sometimes up to 200 miles away. Messrs A. Crawford and R. Sherriff are in charge of the collection, and they give visitors an interesting and educational commentary on the photographs exhibited. Yesterday large parties of secondary school pupils visited the exhibition, and further parties will inspect the display each day this week.. The exhibition will be open to the public until Friday evening.
