THE WEATHER
Unsettled weather was experienced yesterday morning, following fairly heavyrain. The conditions, however, unproved before mid-day, and periods of sunshine were recorded in the afternoon. A moderate to fresh south-west wind was blowing, and the maximum temperature was 55 decrees. REPORTS FROM THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND. November '5. A moderate westerly wind and showery weather were experienced to-day until the afternoon, when the sky cleared and the sun was shining. The barometer was falling until mid-day, but afterwards was steady at 29.55 in. - WELLINGTON, November 5. The weather was fine and- pleasant today, although in the afternoon it was mostly cloudy. The maximum temperature was 62.0 degrees. ' CHRISTCHURCH. November 5. The weather to-day was fine with a maximum temperature of 57 degrees and a strong south-south-west breeze. The barometer is rising slowly and now registers 29.70 in.
