TRANSPORT SERVICES

COSTS GREATLY REDUCED (Per United Press Association) NELSON, November 5. "" The chairman of the No. 7 Transport Licensing Authority, Dr E. A. Gibbs, in a' statement, says that the benefit of the Transport Act to the public and road service operators was incontrovertible. The costs of transport were being greatly reduced, but were still one-sided. As only the road services were dealt with, full value could not be realised until ail forms of transport—road, rail, ,air or sea—were included, arid, without undue favouritism, the State-owned railways or other services.
