"THE CIRCLE"
The theme of the eternal triangle, presented in a novel and pleasing form, is the basis of Somerset Maugham's masterpiece, " The Circle," which is to be presented by the Repertory Society in His Majesty's Theatre next week. Somerset Maugham has written many plays of high calibre, but it is doubtful if he has ever written anything of such a satisfyiugly high standard as this play. In the, capable hands of Miss Bessie Thomson, the talented cast of amateur players should be well able .to make this production one to be remembered. " The Circle" is essentially a modern play, and it will of course be presented in a modern setting and with modern frocking. The scene is a country house in England. The cast is an experienced one and consists of Misses Dorothy Clark and Dorothy Scoular, Mrs John Hamer, and Messrs W. R. Brugh, Douglas Dall, Desmond Greeuslade. Ken Palmer, and C. W. G. Patterson. The play is to be presented for a season of four nights commencing on November 13.
