PHYSICAL CULTURE DISPLAY

To-morrow, at His Majesty’s Theatre, Mr J. V. Hanna will stage his eighth annual physical culture festival, an event which is eagerly looked forward to each year by those who enjoy an evening of bright, clean, sparkling entertainment. This year’s display promises to outclass any previous physical production, some idea of its magnitude being obtained from the fact that there are 31 different items of physical activity by pupils of all ages from tiny tots to adults. Dancing, fencing, wand drill, men’s statuary, club swinging, Danish postural work, pyramids, horizontal, and parallel bars, are a few of the items, the whole being spectacularly arranged. A feature of the items by the girls and ladies’ classes will be the frocking and the lighting effects. Interspersed throughout the programme will be various vocal and instrumental items by well-known artists, with an orchestra of nine players under the leadership of Mr G. Raflills. Details of tht entertainment are advertised.
