By special request, “ Demmie, Hiramie and Alfie ” will appear in kilts. A large programme is being' arranged, and the following will assist: —The Hainmi Maori Party of over 20 performers, under Mr A. D. Macgregor, Miss Lily Stevens’s Scotch ballet, Miss Shirley M'Clatchey (piano accordeon), Miss Betty Garland (violin), Mrs C. Searle (vocalist), Mr J. Pringle (vocalist) and Begg’s Orchestra. Mr Arthur M'Donald has offered £1 Is if Mr Himburg will sing “ Wee Hoose Mang the Heather,” and he is sure to accept the challenge. The committee appreciates the generous donations that have been sent in during the year, and it is hoped that there will be a record for the final night. The sum of £5 has been received from an anonymous_ listener-in requesting that the song “ Blind Ploughman ” be sung, and it is hoped that the Mayor (the Rev. E. T. Cox) will accede to the request. If listeners-in have enjoyed the Friday sings during the long season and wish to show their appreciation for the good work that has been done by the committee, they may send donations, no matter how small, to Begg’s.
