AEROPLANE IN STORM

FLIGHT UNDER DIFFICULTIES (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 30. A flight " nder difficulties from Blenheim to Wellington was made to-day by J J. Busch, commercial pilot to He Canterbury Aero Club. Although the weather reports were unfavourable he made the flight in order to pick up a wrestler at Wellington, wno was to have appeared in Christchurch to-night. When only a mile from the South Island const he was well into the storm and out of siofit of land, so that he had to fly by compass. His vision was restricted to a small patch of water below and a few chains of opaque drizzle around him. He reached Rongotai safely, but the increasing intensity of the storm prevented his making tbe return trip to Christchurch with hia passenger.
