LONDON'S GIFTS FOR COUPLE (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, October 29. (Received Oct. 30, at 5.5 p.m.) The Lord Mayor of London to-day drove in state to Buckingham Palace and presented to the Duke of Gloucester and Lady Alice Scott wedding gifts from, the city of London. He was accompanied by sheriffs and members of the corporation. Sir Stephen Killik presented the address of congratulations and the gifts. The Duke thanked the Lord Mayor on behalf of Lady Alice and himself The Duke and Lady Alice also received deputations from the royal borough of Kensington and the city of Westminster. THE NAVY'S GIFT LONDON, October 29. (Received Oct. 30, at 10 p.m.) The Royal Navy's wedding gift to the Duke of Gloucester and Lady Alice, in which the Royal Australian Navy and the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy are associated, was presented at Buckingham Palace. It consisted of 12 Chippendale dining chairs, dated 1760.
