APPLICATIONS are invited from qualified medical practitioners for the office of DIRECTOR OF THE GOVERNMENT LABORATORY OF BACTERIOLOGY AND PATHOLOGY, Adelaide Hospital, Adelaide, South Australia, who shall also be Director of Medical Research in the University of Adelaide. The salary will be £ISOO per annum, and will commence from the day the appointee commences work in Adelaide, Ine duties are the following:— 1. Supervise and control the Government Laboratory, and be responsible to the Board of Management of the Hospital for all the routine investigations carried out within it. 2. Be available for consultation with the Honorary staff of the Hospital on patients within it regarding matters relevant to his own special knowledge. 3. As a member of the Medical Faculty of the University, engage in the active study and investigation of human disease, and may_ be required to assist in teaching, and examining. The appointment in the first instance will be for a period of five years, subject to satisfactory conduct. A medical certificate of fitness must be forwarded with the application. The successful applicant may be required to subscribe to tlie South Australian Superannuation Fund.
