OPIUM SEIZED

EIGHT CHINESE ARRESTED (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, October 21. Eight Chinese were arrested hy detectives in Nelson street to-dny. After forcing open a locked door, the police experienced no further difficulty, the men submitting readily to arrest. The raid followed the arrest of another Chinese in the city a little earlier in the day. The four-roomed house in which the eight Chinese were found was searched by the police, who seized a quantity of opium. They also took possession of some pities and accessories.
