LAWN TENNIS
KNOX CHURCH CLUB The annual meeting of the Knox Church Lawn Tennis Club was held on Wednesday last. Mr. C. R. Spackman presided over a fair attendance of members. The annual report and balance sheet were adopted, and general satisfaction was expressed at the successful season which had just closed. The election of oflice-bearers, resulted as follows:—Patron, the Rev. D. C. Herron (re-elected); president, Mr C. R. Spackman (re-elected) ; vice-presidents —Messrs E. R. Smith, J. Sinton, L. Sanderson, H. Botting, A; Duke, G. A. Laurenson and T. C. Ross; secretary, Mr J. D. Hallum; treasurer, Miss G. Paul; committee—Misses Abernethy and N. Miller, Messrs J. Hayward and E. Hill: delegate to the association, Mr J. Hayward; club captain, Mr M. Arthur; ladder manager, Mr L. Smith. The opening day for the season was fixed for to-morrow.
