FILMS ABANDONED
MISS DIANA WYNYARD CAMERA NOT FAVOURABLE LONDON, August 27. In explaining why she had obtained a release from a £3OO a week Hollywood contract, Miss Diana Wynyard, the star of " Cavalcade," says the real reason is that she is giving up film acting as she does not photograph well. " Hollywood took the greatest pains with me and sometimes made me look very nice, but something about my face does not suit the camera," she said. "This worries me too much and spoils my acting. "I learned my job on the stage, where my facial expressions were all right. I am frankly proud of 'Cavalcade,' but am convinced that I do my work best on the stage. "Maybe I should not dp so ready to make this gesture if the theatre did not hrppen to be so profitable as it is at present." Miss Wynyard, therefore, will continue on' the London play " Sweet Aloes."
