The steamer City of Glasgow, from Now York and Newport News, via Panama canal, Auckland, Wellington and Lyttelton, arrived at Dunedin on Saturday. She was berthed at the Rattray street wharf, where the local portion of her American cargo will be discharged. The vessel, which Is under charter to the A. and A. Line, Is to sail to-morrow for Sydney to complete discharge. KAREPO FROM SOUTH AUSTRALIA. The Union Company advises that the Kareno Is to load at Edithburg and Adelaide this week for New Zealand. She Is expected to leave Adelaide on August 30. Her discharging ports will be Auckland, Portland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. THE CANADIAN CONSTRUCTOR. 1 Messrs H. L. Tapley and Co. advise that the Canadian Constructor Is due at Dunedin on September 6 from Montreal, via Australian ports. She will sail about September 7 for Lyttelton. The C.-A. motor liner Aorangi, from Vancouver and San Francisco, left Honolulu on August 31 for Suva, Auckland, Sydney and Melbourne. She Is due at Auckland on September 2. MATSON LINER MONTEREY. The Matson liner Monterey left San Francisco on August 20 and Los Angeles on August 21. for Honolulu, Pago Pago, Suva. Auckland, Sydney and Melbourne. She Is due at Auckland on September 6. Cabled advice has been received by the Union Company that the Walruna cleared Apia on August 19 for San Francisco and Vancouver. She is due at San Francisco on September 6. THE PORT WHANGAREI. Untfer charter to the Union Company the motor ship Port Whangarei was to leave Nukualofa on August 22 with fruit for Auckland, where she Is due to-morrow. ROTORUA AT LONDON. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Rotorua, which left Auckland on July 13, reached London on August 22. RECORD MOTOR SPIRIT CARGO. The motor vessel Sagona, which called at Wellington early this month from Singapore, brought a record cargo of motor spirit, which was discharged in remarkably good time. She brought 3,036,243 gallons, or 12,385 tons of motor spirit for the Shell Company of New Zealand, Limited. This was the largest motor spirit cargo yet received at any port in New Zealand.

CARGO FROM THE EAST. Advice has been received in Dunedin that the Nellore’s cargo from China and Japan will be transhipped at Melbourne to the Waltaki, which is due at Dunedin on September 3. WAIEANGI AT PORT CHALMERS. The Shaw, Savlll and Albion Company's new motor ship Walrangi arrived yesterday from London, via Panama canal, Wellington and Auckland. She was berthed at the George street wharf, Port Chalmers, where she will commence Homeward loading to-day. The Walrangi is to sail to-morrow evening for Bluff, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland to complete loading. She is scheduled to sail finally from Auckland on September 14 for Southampton and London, via Cape Horn and Las Palmas. Captain H. R. The Blue Star Line motor ship Now Zealand Star, which is duo at Auckland to-day from London, will unload her cargo at Auckland and Port Chalmers. After discharge she will load at Port Chalmers, Bluff, Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier and Auckland. She is scheduled to clear Auckland finally for London, via Cape Horn, on October 1. NAPIER STAR REPLACED. The Blue Star Line steamer Fresno Star will replace the damaged Napier Star, and Is to leave Liverpool on August 30 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on October 8. The Fresno Star will carry all the Naoier Star’s cargo, with the possible exception of small quantities from Newport and Glasgow, which may have been damaged as a result o. the vessel’s collision with the Laurontlc. Built In 1919 by Barclay, Curie and Co., Ltd., Glasgow. the Fresno Star, ex Woodarra, is a steel, twin-screw steamer of 7998 tons gross. This will be her first visit to New Zealand.
