SCOTTISH SOCIETY

MONTHLY SOCIAL The monthly social of the Scottish Society of Dunedin was held in the Victoria Hall on Saturday night, a very large- number of members and friends being, present. The chairman, Mr W. P. Smith, was piped to the platform by the official piper, Mr Norman MacPherson. A hearty welcome was. extended to all present. Community singing was introduced, and proved a great success. Items were given by Miss N. Bauld, Mr A. Campbell, Mr John Erskme, Messrs Argo and Belmar (comedy patter), Miss Rita Warren, and Miss Harris (Highland dances). The Monte Carlo waltz prizes were won by Miss Gibbon and Mr Forbes. The dance music was supplied by Miss Matheson and Mr M'Glashan. Messjts J. Collie and J. T. Ramsay carried out the duties of M.C. The official pipers were Messrs N. MacPherson and W. Matheson.
