After the reading, the play was discussed briefly. A competition in the hands of Mr_W. Mills, was won by Misses M. Dalziel, W. Telfer, and B. Allan, who secured'an equal number of correct answers. Dancing was then enjoyed, with Misses P. Thompson and D. Kirton, Mrs Maekie, and Messrs James Thompson and C. Cowan supplying the music. The monthly meeting of the Kakanui P.W.M.U. was held in the Sunday School Hall, Mrs Andrews presiding over a good attendance. The meeting was opened with praise, Scripture reading, and prayer. Miss Cleverley was appointed Harvest Field secretary. _ Several missionary letters from China and India were read by Mesdames M’Ghie, Mould, and Smith, and proved very interesting.
